I know for a fact that it won't hold a liter of beer, especially when the bottle breaks  :-[

I recently measured 37 liters of water into the rightside bag shells and the left is slightly larger.  Click to see the thread.

HTH

I knew someone had done this and they were bigger than 35 liters. And not equal in size. But I couldn't remember who and by how much.

I know it will hold a 12 pack of your favorite beverage, so if you by one you gotta get another to balance the load or the bike will just run in a circle, it's a safety thing ya know.

It'll easily hold an 18 pack.

Good point.  However, Alcohol and Nitro mix well.  although it lessens the hit of the nitro.

Only 18 pack! Here in Europe we have 24 packs and the saddle bag takes one in each bag and also 2 3 litre vine-bags, and the Shad top-box take the same and a little more, so total is 72 beers and 9 liter vine.

Why i do that, well in Denmark this stof is expensive so i go to Germany and by beer and vine, a nice 100 mile trip and i can survival the winter in comfort.

The suspension loves it things we are going touring :-)

This is very interesting... Once I start running moonshine on my Connie,
I'll need to know these things.  The best part is I can 'release' them during
a chase down, and have a bad @ss malotov cocktail for a diversion!

I can easily get a case (e.g. 24, 12oz cans) in either side (usually both though) on my C10. Of course that's cola, not beer, 'cause I'm the Safety Director and all and I NEVER EVER carry beer on my bike and, if you believe that, I've got some ocean front property in Missouri you need to buy from me.  :))

This goes to show ya we Connie riders ain't to interested in "capacity in liters" as much as we are real world measurments such as "how many beer cans can we haul.http://forum.cog-online.org/Smileys/FantasticSmileys/beerchug.gif

I can fit three milk jugs into each pannier on my C10.  I guess that'd be a little over 12 liters since there's actually a wee bit of room left over.

That's a great answer, now let's get back to the real question of how much beer in there.

ps... Double Bag | Long Trail... does that mean I can fit twice as much? Or should I get the Triple Bag | Long Trail :))

The question is unanswered because apparently COG riders don't measure side case capacity in liters, we measure it in 12-oz increments. It's a metric vs US drinker issue.   :rotflmao:

though volume is important - it IMO is not as important (or ride affecting) as much as actual weight that can be safely carried!

so change that oz measure from volume to weight please (:>
