Saddlebag bumper
« on: September 13, 2015, 11:26:59 pm »
Hey all -

I've over-weighted the right bag on previous trips around the globe and now it sags.  It's ended up with a crack which I've tried to repair with little success.  Then, it hit me....put a rubber bushing on the fender in place of the side reflector which is always covered up.

I went to Lowe's and bought a 1" black, rubber stopper.  I drilled a hole it it, place a hex bolt 6m x 40mm hex both through it and voila, it worked.

Now the right bag sits properly again and they each have something to help support them if weighed down heavily.

Good idea. I never ride without the bags, so this is quite acceptable.
