Vibrator is working again!!
« on: April 14, 2015, 10:56:51 pm »
This IS about the C10 :motonoises:  Last year RWulf from Traverse City demo'ed his turn signal indicator and I just had to have one. He installed a vibrator in the saddle and connected it to the turn signals. WELL!, I just HAD to have one and it worked great. This year it wasn't working because I used a couple of crimp connections that failed. Couple solder connections and some shrink wrap and I back in business.
Really started to miss that vibration to remind me to turn the turnsignals OFF.  :)

concourscharlie,  I sat on RWulf's bike and he FREAKED me out when he turned on a turn signal.  Trust me when I say,  you WOULD NOT think it was your phone in your pocket.  :-\

hmmmm, this might need to be investigated a might!!!  I wish the connie had self cancelling blinkers after a bit, or an alarm like my old Honda had, that sucker would go off like madness after a while, mostly when in the city stuck alone on a crappy sensor light in a left turn lane and not enough metal to turn the sensor..i'd be sitting there ranting to myself debating if I should just go anyway or not and whammo the blinker alarm would go off and almost make me jump off the seat!!!!

Some GM cars and trucks have vibrators in the drivers seat for when the object sensors detect... they call it 'haptic feedback'....whatever side detects, it vibrates that side of the seat. They also vibrate if the vehicle has 'lane departure guidance' and the vehicle drifts across a line without a turn signal.

And now.. pleasurable!  We always joked that now Richard rides with them on all the time!

(on a side note - he also ran his battery dead at the bike show demoing it for the ladies -  :rotflmao: )

Found out why the battery went dead. It seem the Miral, lithium ion battery I have
installed does not have the reserve capacity of a lead acid battery. I have shown the bike
at other rallies and not had a problem. Johnson City was the first year for the lithium
battery.
So I learned something new at every COG rally, worth the money.
