personally, I have never seen a "damaged" seal, that leaked because of wear, or tear..

pretty much every one I've seen, (maybe 20+ or more) were simply popped out/displaced, and in reality, could probably been "expanded", cleaned, and re-installed via the method I noted, and would carry on for many years... but once you are in there, and have parts in hand... might as well use them.. I like Guy's miraculous secret, and if ever in the future I have to do another, I will do just that, as all the ones I seen I could pluck out with my fingernails.. so cleaning them up, and the housing, and jamming it in deep with a new goobered seal on top, might be the Cats Pajamas, or Bees Knees, or even "yeah... that's the ticket.." answer

Just remember, you may still get "the drip" (not Gonno), for about a few days, or 100 miles or so.. oil does remain trapped in the bearing area, behind the ceramic water seal, and WILL work it's way out shortly.
