2012 Connie Dropper PLACEHOLDER post - CatsFive
« on: May 29, 2014, 11:56:43 pm »
Hello, I just bought a 2012 Connie (A-rabian red, naturally) and, uh... I'm not posting to say that I've dropped it, but.... I just discovered this forum and wow, I can't believe this. It's pretty excellent of you guys to do this, because man, I've never had a "nice" sport touring bike and, with only 1200km on the bike so far, I'm pretty paranoid of dropping her! I've ordered MC's Canyon bars (can't wait to get them) and fork sliders, etc., but... I'm clumsy... I know I'll have a low speed crash.

I'm new to this site, hope I'm not offending anyone, mods please delete this if it's inappropriate.

I hope to get a really, really, really high number!!!

:truce: Haha, just acknowledging the inevitable... hence the bars... I have faith in myself, BUT... I also know myself, so, er...  only a question of time! But I'm trying to be good.   :-[  That said, I am intending to "police" out my turning radius... the Dremel is an excellent idea. I really need it, because this thing turns like I need a destroyer escort or something.

When you get the Canyon bars, do NOT let them sit on the shelf until you have a chance to install them.  MAKE that chance!  You would be absolutely astounded at how many people drop Connie in the driveway while the tipover bars are sitting on a shelf in the garage.   :-[

Congrats on the new bike and welcome to the forum!
