C10 Drop
« on: March 18, 2009, 11:38:00 am »
Hello, my name is Robert and I am going to relive a story from shortly after I got my '06 Connie.  It was a beautiful April afternoon and I was headed to Gainesville, GA on 365 and came to a light, stopped and had the bike in neutral.  Had to adjust my helmet, so both hands came off the handlebars.  While I was adjusting the helmet, the bike started to move forward and then the engine died.  I was not going to fight her when I wasn't in a good position to do so.  Next thing I know, she is lying on her left side at the stop line and there I stand looking like an idiot.  Happy happy, joy joy.  Luckly nothing was broken (especially since the mirror folded).  Robert Elliott  Cornelia, GA  COG # 7598

Sorry to hear that.  I am still a bit confused about why it fell over?  Sounds good for cda number though.  ----------------------------------  South Central Area Director  Email scad@cog-online.org    <p align="left">My Photos<br

Robert, CDA0293.  Good choice on not fighting her.  When I did that I pulled my hamstring bad - all black and blue up my right leg.  Greg H from Mass, Connie Droppers Anonymous Awards Dude  COG# 7010,a Tracey  CDA 120  99 Connie "Herrin Christabelle", 05 Ninja 250

Fell over due to the sometimes "magical" capability to jump back into gear, found it in second when I picked it back up.  It was funny because at first she was idling fine in neutral and with both feet on the ground, it was not like I put it back into gear.    Robert Elliott  Cornelia, GA  COG # 7598
