Stuck in bummer to bummer traffic in a tourist trap in NC. Pulled up to stop and overbalanced and over she went. Thank goodness for Canyon cages. Very little damage to the bike, but broke my wrist when my hand got tangled in the bars on the way down. Had to ride 200 miles back home with broken wrist. Thank goodness for clutchless shifting!!!!!

Welcome to the forum, old fart!  Sorry this was one of your first posts and I am SO sorry to hear you were hurt in this.  I broke my left wrist (a crash, not a drop) and it's kept me off Connie for a year and a half.  I'm amazed that you rode 200 miles with it that way - of course your break was probably different from mine.

Thank goodness for the Canyon Cages indeed!  You'd be amazed by the number of drop stories we get here where the tip-over bars were sitting in a box on the shelf waiting to be installed.

I'm really glad that Connie wasn't hurt, even though you paid a price in pain, and your incident does qualify you for the CDA Award except for one thing.

You need to be a full COG member.  Don't worry, we don't make you drop her again after you've joined in order to qualify!  Most folks join if they hang around a while and like what we do here, so just drop me a line after that happens and we'll add you to the roster.
