Title: My name is Gary...and I'm a Connie Dropper.
Post by: NoLongerTheNewGuy on October 08, 2016, 03:18:06 pm
It's a beautiful day on HWY 10 heading west out of Little Rock in the early afternoon. I have a loose destination of Hot Springs, and I am watching for the road that meanders in that direction. I'm doing what we normally do on a mostly-deserted curvy road: riding like I'm the star in an Isle of Man video :motonoises:. Then 2 things happen together: the road widens into four lane sweeper to the right, and an Arkansas State Trooper appeared coming at me.  :-\

He didn't even ask me where I was going in such a hurry, just told me why he pulled me over, and he didn't have to guess how fast I was going. Once I gave him my autograph he sped away. I cursed my luck, put on my stuff, mounted the bike, planted my left foot as I stood it up, and then there was nothing under my right foot. I had pulled so far to the right that my wheels were sitting right on the lip of about an 8" drop off.
Down we went. I had a booger of a time getting her back up as it was like the side of a hill. Damn Trooper.

Ride safe, Ted

Wow. Injury to insult. Sorry to hear that one.  :-\
