Only took me 8 days
« on: June 20, 2012, 09:02:44 pm »
I dropped my new c-14 just 8 days after I bought it. :-\ I couldn't get into the Rally Hotel because it was too early 11:00 so I went to McDonalds to get a burger. Since nothing is level in Eureka Springs and the parking spaces were all downhill I thought I would be smart and circle into and around in three spaces so I could head out, not sure if I just let it get to far over or touched the from brake but she went over and i tried to hold her but it was too much (Pulled my back in the fight). I also had my big bag on it with clothes and to make it worse I had printed stuff for the Rally and that made my bag even heavier. Didn't break anything but scratched my right side bag and my mirror slightly. Done on 6-10-2012. What a way to start the National.
I had dropped my C-10 4 times but only broke something once. Cog #7712

Wow, you're right - McDonalds is a TERRIBLE way to start the National!  The drop didn't help much either.  Seems to me that there's always someone around to witness when it happens to me.  Glad to hear you weren't hurt and the damage was minor - at least the rest of the Rally was bound to be an improvement!

And so it has now become my sad duty to confirm you as the 409th recipient of the uncoveted Connie Droppers Anonymous Award.  You have yet another tale to share around a Rally campfire.  My sincerest condolences!
