The Perfect Ride..........almost
« on: April 11, 2009, 10:16:00 am »
It was July 4th weekend 2008.......  I left the house around 10am as I had planned a relaxing yet fun ride through Southern Indiana, beginning in Memphis, cruising up 62 to Madison, then thru North Vernon and over to Bedford, where I ate a HUGE lunch.  I climbed back on my bike with a gleam in my eye, for now would come the twisty's I had so carefully included in my planning.  I headed out to Paoli and then took the back roads to Salem.  It was awesome!!  The weather was perfect, my bike was running great, there was little or no traffic.  Perfect......  I pulled into my driveway around 6pm with a huge grin and sense of accomplishment as this had been the longest ride I had done with my Concours since buying it in June.  I activated the garage door, had to wait while it opened, then changed my mind and decided to leave my bike outside and clean it up real quick before putting her in the garage.  I turned her off, stepped off, and she immediately fell over...in my drive way, in front of my neighbor that's a big Harley guy, and in front of my wife and daughter that were coming out to see how my ride went......   The perfect ride.......almost.  My name is Aaron and I dropped my Coni on the 4th of July 2008 in my driveway.  I broke the left side main fairing support bracket (the one that has the arm that runs from left side  to right side behind the engine) scratched by left saddle bag, and cracked my turn signal.    I had to wait this long to swallow my pride and fess up to it.Text
