(SOLD) CLAIMED - Freeze-Dried Food
« on: April 08, 2013, 09:26:23 am »
I have a fairly large number of high quality freeze-dried food packets which I purchased in spring of 2012. They basically have a 50 year shelf life, or longer.

Since I don't camp anymore, and in any case after this coming October (2013) will never be able to eat any of it again, I'd like to pass it on to a member who still is able to, and likes to, camp.

They are typical open top of pouch, boil water, take oxygen packet out of pouch, pour in boiling water, close zip lock seal on packet, wait 10-15 minutes depending on meal. Some of them are two stage, where you take, for example, mashed potatoes out and pour boiling water in them too, then take the meat / gravy portion from the packet and put it over the 'taters. Nom!

Otherwise, they are going eventually in the trash, which would be a travesty considering what they cost.

I will email photos of the front and back (directions, nutrition label) to anyone who is a member and is going to make use of them. They pack really well in motorcycle luggage.

Only want paid cost of shipping flat rate USPS, to be determined after I see which box they fit in. Possibly will need the large box, not sure.

You can reach me at merchandise at cog dash online dot org

First come, first serve.

I am going to contact the first person who already emailed me, and if that doesn't work out, the next one, and so forth.

But like I said, you have to email me about it so I have date/time stamps so I know what the order of choice is.

I hate to let this stuff go, but I'm not camping anymore, and I'm not a prepper, so someone who camps (or preps) should have it. Its not a ton of freeze dried, but its all high quality.

Thanks everyone who asked for the fd food. Sammie was first, by a bit less than a minute, but first nonetheless. Food will be on its way pretty soon, I have to see which size flat rate box it fits in. I'm guessing it is going to take a large.  :great:
