Accessing the COG Online Store
« on: September 12, 2012, 03:32:37 am »
I am getting a lot of email asking "where is the COG store?" so here is the step by step to get there.

First, you must be a COG (paid) member to enter the COG Online Store. Second, in the Online Store with a credit card is the only way to order COG merchandise, you cannot call me, or paypal me, or come over and pay cash. Also, make sure you are signed in before trying to get into the Member Area (below). I have cookies enabled on my machine and when I go there, it knows I am logged on.

1) www.cog-online.org

2) On the action bar across the top under the logo, click "Member Area"

3) On the action bar under the logo, hover the mouse cursor over "Member Links"

4) Move the mouse cursor (without clicking) down to "COG Online Store" and click

5) Under the title "COG Online Store", click the "Go!" button to display all products.

With any luck, that should land you in the product display in the Store, and not on some porn site or something.  :beerchug:

Sorry... This feature/benefit is only available to full [paid] members.  You are registered as free forum only subscriber.

Did you miss the part in the instructions where it clearly says you must be a COG member to access the Store?  :)

You can always visit the Cafepress store, not as cool  :great: but it's still out there....

As was stated I am a member, just not a paid member, yet.  That discerning information is not "clearly" stated.  I even went to the trouble before my post to see if I am a member.  So, to answer your question, no I did not miss the part in the instructions that said I had to be member to access the store.  It appears that whoever wrote those instructions failed to make the point that you need to be a paid member.

I've been checking the site out to see what kind of atmosphere and worth that it has to offer me.  So far I like most of what I have found.  I had almost decided to become a paying member.   It's obvious that membership does have it's privileges.  I will take care of paying my membership fees as soon as I return home (the first of next week).

See!!  I told you there was hope!!!  :bravo_2:
Ya, membership does have it's perks. The store is one of them. The merchandise there is cool and priced to break even, it's not a money making tool.
Thanks for considering full paid official totally awesome membership. Much longer title than forum member  :rotflmao:

I've been lurking and a forum member now for long enough that I went and bought a C14.  I am loving the bike and I am sure liking the forum as well.  I look forward to learning the bike and the members much more in the coming years.

I am a paid member, and that store does not come up for me...did I pay on installments?...I might have put the full membership on lay-away for Christmas, I can't remember. But my questions is: How can I get in this clandestine store, I need a Concour wardrobe

I'm looking at your info...  Here's the scoop:  you registered for the forum on 08/22/2012, and then joined COG on 09/23/2012. Unfortunately you neglected the recommended directions posted on the forum to convert membership, and consequently created 2 different and separate accounts (you can only access the store via a full member account).

Please be patient while the IT admins review and discuss the best way to merge your accounts.  You will receive a PM or email when it is resolved.   Sorry for the inconvenience and we thank you for being a member.

Update: Nando... the problem should be resolved when you receive your login info email from the system. If you have any further problems please send an email directly to the membership officer fro prompt service.

And remember, you can always send the store email at : merchandise at cog dash online dot org if you have questions about the store or merchandise or just want to make suggestions for new products for the store.

I'm going to have to ask IT to close the store when I got into the VA hospital finally for orthopedic surgery because I will be "gone" for at least a month while I'm stuck in the VA hospital doing rehab therapy. That could happen the middle of November, or December, or even January, no way to know until they hand me an admission paper to sign.

I placed an order earlier this month and have not received. Sent emails to merch email and district director for help with no reply. Anyone have another contact?

Not sure what your email is but I have replied to all 3 of the emails I got, and the status is I am shipping those items in the next few days, as long as I can see straight long enough to use UPS online.

Have to side with JR...  I did not get an email from you either.  What email addresses did you send to?  What email address did you send from?

Is ok, Steve, I shipped his and others today.

I think I did get an email from him and I did answer it right away, but maybe he has two email accounts or something, because what I got an email from is not the same as the one in the order notification email.

I also have to complete Madame Treasurer's inventory too, and that is fairly daunting to me at the moment. But it will get done.

In the process of scheduling some new surgery, will post when I know what the dates are. Could be the end of March, or into April, or possibly (hope not) May. Need it to be soon enough I can make the Spring Fling darn it.  :(

Hmmmm.... I may be having a similar issue with my membership. I joined with a paid one year membership last month but, I am unable to connect to the online store. I have spent half an hour trying to figure this out but, I'm at a loss.

Adding members requires some manual intervention on thew part of some bio unit volunteers running on analog operating systems...

I know, I know, hey, we are getting so used to things being processed instantly if not faster... but this may take just a little longer, if you haven't got mail... the dead tree kind... you may not have been properly folded, spindled and/ or mutilated yet.

Your 3-yr membership was processed on 6/7 and your account looks like it is all set. You should have no problem accessing the COG store.  You can get your COG # to show in you forum profile by refreshing it per the instructions in this post:
