That is a shame. This will take some repairing. Although we were just riding these roads a couple of weeks ago. This is really not much different than most of the roads in my area. As well as many other places where the storm went through. We have more roads closed than open. It was brutal today trying to get around to assess the massive amount of damage we sustained at work.

Do we have any COGgers in Vermont?
Have we heard from them?

Ride safe, Ted

Very sad...  someone got a video of it when it let go and it was circulating on the internet and on news channels.

Yeah, Dots got hammered

You only need two tools in life – WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn’t move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn’t move and does, use the duct tape.

Here is a video shot in West Dover, VT.  Most of it is poorly done but there is one shot at 0:33 mark done at Mount Snow showing Snow Lake which everyone went past on their way to the Grand Summit.

Same videographer shot at Mount Snow.  Some people have no idea how to use a video camera.

Here are some videos of the Covered Bridge in Grafton, VT.  I took the OtP travelers on a tour and we ate lunch in Grafton then rode past the bridge and Grafton Cheese Company on our way out of Grafton heading South on Grafton-Townshend Rd back to Mount Snow.

Wow! What a shame to see all that flooding and destruction! Being an experienced hurricane survivor, my heart definitely goes out to all of those affected by Irene. Mike, thanks for posting the videos.

if you want to make a cash donation to relief efforts here is the link for the American Red Cross.

And here a Vermont specific site:
