Business cards
« on: December 09, 2018, 04:19:02 pm »
Hi, I was wondering how I can get a COG business card with my name on it? Myself, along with a couple other Coggers are in the early stages of organizing a rally near where I live. I would like some business cards to give to some of the local businesses that cater to motorcyclists. Can I get some through COG, or do I need to have some made up locally?

First step would be discussing this with your Area Director.

There is more to be gained by members raising hands saying "I'll do that" instead of pointing fingers saying "nobody's doing that."

COG does not arrange Business cards with your name printed on them.
I tried a many time's to get them to do so thru the store.
They do have a generic COG Card that you can pencil your name onto.

Many people have had their own COG Cards made.
Not strictly legal because of the COG Logo, but it has been done.

It's my understanding that the Membership  Officer sends you a few when you renew your membership. They come with the Membership card.

No, they are COG business cards with the members name printed on them.

I have sent Rastus a PM asking how many he needs.

having recently receiving my renewed membership, it came with a complete sheet of pre-printed COG member cards, with  my name, but not forum name, and COG number pre-printed on them... you can take that sheet, scan it, and print as many of your specifically printed membership cards, business cards as we are speaking of, as you wish.

iirc, it's been like this for at least the last 2 years.. I like it, nice touch...
everytime I visit a Kaw dealership, I toss one at them, and they let me put one in every saddlebag of a Concours on their floor, good advertising... good for the dealer, and good for COG.

now, what can we do, to get the laminated membership card, down to a reasonable size that fits into a wallet... like drivers license size?

 >:D >:D :)) :)) >:( >:( :??: ;) :nananana: :great: :great: :great: :truce: :truce: :truce:

It simply won't fit in my wallets.. :truce: :truce:

I see no harm in scaling down the COG cards after putting your name on it, then sending it off to make a box of business cards (for yourself only).

If anyone wants to do that, I will be glad to scale the image for you and produce the needed format.
It would be up to you to make your own laminated cards after that.

Gotta be a COG member.   >:D

In that case, my apologies; I stand corrected.

so, has this been addressed, and sufficient?
just askin'

I just printed out 20 sheets from the scan I made of my "COG business cards"... and ripped them apart, so they looked cool when I left them on peoples bikes...
