Concours 08 - Riding again.
« on: June 27, 2017, 11:36:02 pm »
Hello, I'm glad I joined this forum, I've had my 08 Concours for about a month now and I've learned many good things here; this forum helped me decide to buy my 08.

I have been riding for many years, I bought my first bike back in 93 - a Kawasaki Ninja 500.

Then I had many other bikes, the last one a Roadie, until this lady did not see me and decided to make a left... right in front of me. The result a bunch of broken and fractured bones, missing teeth and the worst an L1 fracture. So I'm riding again after a forced pause of 2.5 years.

Several years ago I had an FJR that I liked a lot and this time I wanted to have something with ABS and found my 08, great bike to ride again and try to discover if the bug would grow on me... or not.

So far so good, I like my bike a lot, it needs some additions here and there to make it more comfortable.

You might ask what is in order....
Givi maxia 55, luggage rack.
throttle lock
Go cruise.
risers.
Perhaps lowering pegs.
Fix tpms - low battery.
cup holder.
some good lights in the front and back... I need visibility.
For now that will do

What do I do different? Full face !, when I had the accident I had a 3/4. Mesh green jacket. :)

Hi,
I see that as one of the draws to this bike....

You can Sport it up....

Cruise it up.....

Or Tour it up!

Plenty of aftermarket goodies to get you there, and....

You have a Beast of an engine, going all the way! ;D

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” -Samuel Adams

Hello from another new Concours owner.  I'm also planning to get a Maxia -- trying to decide between the 55 or the new 56.  Thinking I'm going to go ahead and get the Admore lighting kit for it also.
