Davo from Australia
« on: September 12, 2008, 01:06:00 am »
Hi to everyone, some may know me from the other place.    For those who don't.    I am founder and run the GTR-AUS Group which is our Australian GTR Group covering as you do both the 1000 & 1400. For us these are the 1000GTR and 1400GTR    I still own my 1000GTR and have a new (12mths old now) 1400GTR as well as another 1400GTR owned by Kawasaki Australia that lives with me full time.    I am running my 1400GTR in the '09 Iron Butt Rally, so far I believe its the only one. So I better do well or you are all going to hate me  ;)    ride safe.    Davo  http://www.davojones.com

Welcome to the calmer gentler side of cog. :)  It would be great to do well in the IBR but most of all enjoy it for yourself not for us or cog or the bike.  ----------------------------------  I will answer any question.  It is up to you to figure out if I should have.    <p align="left">My Photos<br

Hi Dave, I've checked out your website and the club's you guys remind me of... us! ;) Link us when you post about the IBR, I'm anxious to hear your impressions of it! I hope you have the time of your life! If you're the only GTR1400, take comfort in knowing the other riders will eventually get over their jealousy, time does heal all wounds.

Thanks to all, sorry for delayed reply but I was on the road over the weekend and working since.    Yes that's me on SideStandUp.com Jack Ferguson dobbed me in and they kind of like me so I will be on again.    I ship my bike to Portland Oregon and its being housed at a well known IBR riders place till I get there a few weeks later. Will then take about 3-4 days to cross to the start east side. Seems to be a couple riders want to cross with me so that will be nice.    My plan is to have fun, but not being bashful I know I am up for it and its just the unfamiliarity with your country that will be my hardest obstacle.    Cheers and thanks to all.      Davo  http://www.davojones.com

Added a new link to cog-online.org to my site  http://gtr1000.yuku.com/    Even though I know many are going to find it confusing, I know I still do. Why the two sites.  I do understand this is THE COG site.... no matter.

concours.org now bills itself as the 'ZG/GTR Fanatics' forum, this is the Concours Owner's Group website.
