Good Afternoon COG members! New From Kansas
« on: March 13, 2019, 06:32:05 pm »
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a new member of the forum, but a long time bike owner. I purchased my 2007 C14 two years ago and am loving every minute on it. After a couple of years off of two wheels I sure couldn't have asked for a better ride to get back on.
My C14 has all the comfort, power, nimble-ness and attitude that I could want to cover the middle American roads!

Semper Fi and look forward to seeing everyone out there!

Oh no!!! Not another marine. We'll have to kick one out - I vote to kick Mark out. :truce:

OK... welcome to the forum!   and thank you for your service.
Ditto on the 2nd pic - I love the wind sweeping the tall grass in the background.

Might keep an eye out for events in your area. They are club sponsored, but anyone is welcome. I know that there are very nice events in Missouri and Arkansas. Nice riding, and great people.

Looks like you got a nice well kept ride. I have the same type of seat and love it for comfort on long rides.

Thanks guys! I ride all over the plains states as well as Missouri, Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma. That pic is from the Flint Hills of Central Kansas. People are always amazed at how diverse the Kansas countryside is....once they get off of I-70!

I have eye balling Cliff's for a couple of years now, I am getting close to pulling the trigger but need to make sure I can get off of work. I would not make it down until Friday.  This would be my first trip on the new to me BMW since I sold the C-10.  I need to get my camping gear / load plan sorted out, and what better opportunity than this!!!

It's kinda funny. I bought it from Kingman Cycle. The paperwork from them says 2007. The paperwork from Kawasaki says 2008. The title says 2007. Regardless, I love it and am already clicking the miles.

Join us for the ride to Cliff's. Its a great event and it's all at whatever pace you want to ride. I've gone to it and didn't even ride one year. Came for the great folks that attend. Even Ted!

Now don't you bother with Ted. He wore bell bottom pants and a soup bowl hat  ;) I think he had them big clunky lace up loafers too  :)) You'll see some wing wipers on here too and we have a good time joshing each other. But then there are only a couple the few, the proud. You have some great folks in your AO and I would echo all of their thoughts. Get to an event and meet these goomba's face to face. There won't be any regrets. Semper Fi Brother. Welcome to the group. Hey, there is that little thing called a National in PA this year. C U There? PS, I heard the Kansas DOT finally corrected the 2 turns in KS. Is it true? :beerchug:
