Goodbye Harley, Hello Connie
« on: May 04, 2018, 01:55:02 pm »
Hello fellow Connie owners! Yesterday I traded in my 2017 Harley Street Glide Special for a 2017 Concours and I am completely stoked. The SGS was my 16th street bike, but my first Harley. It was an ok ride, but it didn't exactly get the blood pumping. The price was absurd for the level of performance and refinement you get, definitely not one of my smarter purchases. The suspension on the SGS was absolute crap btw, no matter the setting.

My local dealership gave me a very fair price for the Harley and sold me this brand new Connie for $13,200! At the same time I also traded in my 2000 CBR1100XX Blackbird to offset the negative balance on the HOG. All-in-all I am completely satisfied, I thought I was never going to get out of that Harley note.

I've owned just about every type of bike there is, from ADV touring, dual-sport, Supersport and cruisers. I can tell I'm going to get along very well with this Concours. As soon as I got home with her yesterday I put in an order for a Two Brothers M5 black series. My wife and I will be riding down to Big Bend and Terlingua from Odessa this weekend to get her good and broken in.

Anyway, just wanted to say hey and introduce myself!

Congrats! You're going to love that new ride. Several years ago I did similar by trading in my Harley Road King for a new Concours. In 2.5 years I've put over 41K miles on the Concours. Enjoy the ride/break-in this coming weekend! Happy for you ...
