FINALLY a Concours owner
« on: January 13, 2019, 02:50:24 pm »
Greetings guys!

Been riding every imaginable motorcycle for the last 25 years.  From Cruisers to Sportbikes to Touring bikes and everything in between.  The last several years were on Goldwings and Ultras....Ive always liked the Concours but discounted it simply due to lack of cruise control.....With the current bargains on left over models I decided to go for it since I dont have any Coast to coast trips planned in the near future and a throttle lock will do fine for regional type riding.

Picked her up yesterday and rode 110 miles home.  Since its breaking in no flogging but I can feel the performance and I really like it!  In that short ride however I did identify a couple of areas I may want to address.  Some of my issues might just requiring me to adjust to the bike since Ive been off sportbikes for 10 years my body may need to adjust but I'm considering the Heli-risers, Peg lowering, windshield and Seat.....Typical stuff but the foundation of a land missile is there and its amazing.

Looking forward to meeting many of you and learning from the best internet forum on the planet!

Craig

I've actually been letting my garage get away from me a bit.  Need more space!!!

This past summers cross country ride took us through the U.P. of Michigan.....Beautiful!!!  We spent a night in Marquette....Great town,

Craig

Welcome Craig. Beautiful bike.

I see your in the SE area near "the" Steve from sunny Florida.
Be aware, his Connie ECU Flashes are habit forming....

{Sadly: I have the addiction}.

Don't talk to him unless you want a faster/smoother running machine.

Ride safe, Ted

Welcome Craig,
Sharp bike! We will look good riding together! I'm not far from you and I'm sure we will probably be riding much of the same areas. I rode through Spring Hill late yesterday afternoon returning home from an all day ride with a SMALL group of good riders. I too enjoy the bikes platform and what it offers, just some fine tweaking for comfort/ergonomics for me.

Congratulations on your purchase :beerchug:

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Spent the day detailing the bike to my standards....I know I should have been out riding it instead but sice picking it up yesterday I needed to spend at least one weekend day at home with the family....Of course I was bouncing in and out of the garage all day drewling.
