Greetings from J.R. Andrews - Chicago
« on: October 01, 2008, 06:10:00 pm »
Hi folks,    Miss me? I have been away for some time, but continually think about all the friends I met from the club. I just signed on to the new web site and wanted to say howdy.    I see COG has finally joined the rest of the 21st Century in Internet technology. Paying dues online? I never thought I would have seen the day... lol.    Life is good on this end, but still runnin' and gunnin' in the fast lanes of Chicago. Work has been extremely busy for me at CPD the past few years. As a result, I have not been riding as much as I used to.     I was able to get out and ride Route 66 this summer from Chicago to Los Angeles. It was a wonderful step back in time. I am hoping to take another trip around Halloween... destination unknown at this time.    I have missed the last two National Rallies and that bums me out. I miss hooking up with a lot of the great people I have come to know in COG. I am going to try and attend next year's National... where is it going to be?    I look forward to re-connecting with you guys. Drop me a line or call if you make it up to the Windy City.    The Spirit of Speedipus Rex lives on...    Ride safe!    J.R. Andrews  COG # 6103  Chicago Squadron

<--- is there any mechanism in place to deal with a non- productive, antagonistic, former non- member such as this?

Bob,    Are you talking about the Wing's "visual enhancements?"  Yep, still got em. Hip, hop, zoom in the Monfort lane.

Dave,    Yes indeed. Build it and they do come. I was surfing around and so far I like the new digs. I guess I will have to wait for my "security clearance" to check out other parts of the homefront.    I was reading how you guys did some homework to get to where we are now. Great job.     Next year's National Rally is in one of my most favorite places in the USA for riding... Count me in. Wild horses couldn't keep me away.

Paulie!    You are da man! PCH was a great run. Trying to keep up with you was the only hard part... hahaha. I see you are OTP certified. Good show.    I guess we have a lot to catch up on.

Howdy J.R.  welcome to the new zoo    --  Steve Smith, #3184  COG Northeast Area Director  (somewhere in south central CT)     If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

Hey JR, good to hear from you, people were asking about you at the national this summer.    I'm going to be in Chi-Town the first weekend of November for a family get together (actually Naperville, but for this Californicate, what's 30 miles or so?  ;) ) If I get a chance to say hi, I'll drop you a note.    jp
