Greetings from North ("Nawth") New Hampshire
« on: August 18, 2017, 09:55:54 pm »
Just picked up an '01 Concourse with 17K miles, in pretty good shape for the age. I had spent ~ 30 years on a Magna 700 which finally gave it up, and picked up a '95 VFR750 (love those V-4's!) which I quickly came to hate due to the riding position. The Concourse is considerably more comfortable, I think, and I'm looking forward to some time on the roads. Bike came with no history or records (other than Title), and no Owners Manual, so I'm reading COG like crazy. Great info here! Looking forward to picking up invaluable guidance from you all. TIA !!

Welcome to COG!  Ditto on Steve's website and videos. I'd recommend checking for hydrolock as a precaution. It's not that hard to do, and gives peace of mind to know the rods are straight.
Murphskits is a great source if you need parts and farkles. "The Wizard" on the forum often has used parts too, and I've found them both great to deal with.
Enjoy that blue beauty (the fastest color), and let's see some pictures!

Hello

Just wanted to say hi from the Lakes Region of NH! Another '01, wow! They'd be the fastest color, but if not I also have a '02 C10 as well.

Hi

I was just up on Rt. 302 Wed. on my '01 came up from Conway across 302 to Woodsville back down Rt. 112 past the wild fires back to the Lakes Region, about 220 miles.

Nice ride! I thought that 112 was closed due to the Dilly Cliff fire - you must have snuck on by! :)

Hello

No, they were stopping traffic when the Blackhawk flew over Rt. 112 with the bucket heading to the lake right there and back, but other than that there was a LOT of smoke coming up the hill heading south.

I am really surprised that that fire's gone on so long, given the terrain.

Think it'd be really neat, tho, if they confirm it was a meteorite that started it - a change from the usual poorly extinguished camp fire, etc.!

And it's given the "leaf peepers" another attraction!
