Just joined. Sorry, I don't have a Concours, though I've admired them many times. The Concours fits my riding desires more than the latest and greatest sport-touring bikes. It's made for putting the miles behind you without overly insulating you from the experience. Just a nice blend of comfort and sport.
I live up north of Seattle, between Martha Lake and Mill Creek. Locals will know where that is. Those of you who aren't local, will maybe have heard of Seattle.
I like to ride. Before I retired last April, I commuted on my motorcycle in almost any weather. My standard answer when someone asks if I rode, is "Is it snowing outside?" Snow is a four-letter word. Though I've asked myself at times why I am riding as the snow flakes are coming down and hitting my visor...while my AWD Subaru Outback sits in the driveway.

My current ride is a BMW F800GT. I hope you don't kick me out for that.

As a commuter, it is great. There's just enough fairing to keep most of the weather off you. It's light at 470 lbs, wet. It's comfortable. I've taken it on some trips across the western US, and found it all day comfortable.
So why am I here? I like to ride, and I've heard there are members here who like to ride also.
I'm hoping I can meet up with some of you, and maybe even contribute on things when it doesn't require knowing about a Concours.
Chris
