So I went to a swap meet in York Pennsylvania today just to walk around and look.  I ended up buying a 86 Concours.  Painted in 2006 Ford Focus Blue.  Looking forward to reading through here to find a new seat and a better windshield!

I saw it too. Keep the cut down windshield you may want to use it for the summer. The seat may be able to be recovered and be good as new.
I just walked away with an owners manual for one of my bikes.

Good looking bike you picked up!  The color really works!  It looks like it's got the short handlebars.  There are taller ones available from later model C10's. btw.   Welcome to COG!

Thanks all!
I plan on keeping the Corbin, I figure it will be worth a little when it's time to let her go.  Nice advise on the windshield.  I didn't know about the other handlebars, but I'll look for them.  Also just found out about the knee savers on murphs.

Extra goodies on a C10 are better sold off when you sell the bike.  Check the previous sale below.

Unless you stole it when you bought it, the C10 generally isn't a great investment for someone that changes bikes a lot.  Maybe if you're a really good trader.  There is one on craigslist not far from me listed for $2800.  I laugh to myself when I see prices like that.  Keep that thing forever!  It's cheap and easy to maintain and will always be there for ya.

tell us a bit more about your new old girl..
miles, p/o, price, etc. ?

I'm in Ohio, so pretty close to ya, that bike kinda looks familiar...

Nice color choice, and from general pictures looks like it was done well...
the seat isn't a stock 86 seat, looks to be a Corbin, or post 94 seat with a redo.. might waant to look at the innerside and the seat pan, it may have a Corbin sticker on it.. those seats were very nice, I wouldn't ditch it untill you put some long miles on it...
The cutdown screen caught my attention, and was why I said it looked familiar. I have a pal that hits that swap all the time, and he actually had a C10 that looked like that one, but back then it was a stock "silverdammit" color. he may have painted it, and sold it.
The lower bars, were only issued on the 86, and grew taller by about 1-1/4" on the later models, but that looks to have riser blocks installed...
Murph's Kits still sells "tubular bar mounts" which allow a wide array of fitup, of different common bars... so retain what you have, and if you want higher, lower, or wider/flatter hand position, consider that as an option.. I decked both my '86 and '88 out with those mounts, and flatter wider Superbike/Daytona bar bend styles.. very comfortable...

you have a work in progress, and it looks to be a worthy candidate... hang on to it for sure...

oh, the bottom section, where you note the bikes you own... they never made a 1984 Concours... so even tho we know it was an error, you might wanna change that...
ride safe,

Congrats... I like the color.
The nice thing about the low windshield is that your head will likely be in smooth air, for a quieter ride.

Thanks Jorge.  Yes my head is in smooth air which I'm really surprised at.  I'm 6'4" tall so I thought i was going to get blasted under the chin.  I don't know why but I'm not complaining!  I've only been riding since August 2018.  Can you explain to me why the low windshield works well for me?  The air doesn't seem to be hitting me in the chest either.

I'm 6'4", too and ride with the 'shield all the way down in the summer. Noisy as all get out in winter @ 3/4 height.

Just my guess... the lower windshield causes less turbulence and a smaller low pressure zone behind it.
I'm 6' and had cut my OE windshield about 6". Initially it was really bad, at the end, the air would hit my just below the chin - not noisy, but smoother.
Enjoy!  It's a great bike that does a lot of things well.

Keep an eye out for events in your area and come out and meet other crazies.
