just curious abut membership number assignments

i am a former (from the 1990s) cog member and current forum subscriber. just curious if i become now change a full member do i get a new cog member number or does my old one (which i can't recall or find) renew?

I suggest sending an email to COG membership to get the best and most correct answer.

You will get a new number...  I was out a year, and went from mid 3500 to 9065..

I think it might be possible to get your old number back, but I agree; you need to talk to  COG membership to get a better answer.

NOTE: If you re-join, there is nothing preventing you from posting your old number near your name.
             ie; Brent #112xxx  {formerly 10xx}
