New C14 Owner
« on: March 29, 2018, 01:14:10 am »
Hi All,

I really went for it last year and bought a brand new 2017 Connie. Biggest, heaviest, fastest bike I have ever owned. The V-Strom 650 went to a very happy new owner in New Brunswick and we were off. First ride home from the dealer, I was scared to death of the bike.........for about 30 seconds, until I discovered how beautifully controllable they are. I have decided two things: first, I prefer sport bikes (especially comfy ones) to ADV bikes, and second, the engine in this thing shall be known as “Godzilla”. First set of tires are already getting thin and I’m looking forward to putting on a lot of miles this summer as well.

My other bike is a 1975 Norton Commando, which used to belong to my father, and I am also a member of the Norton Owners Club.

Hoping to see a few Connies on Nova Scotia’s roads this summer.

Ride Safe!

Andrew H.

Congratulations on the new bike - they are winners just like the older C10s were winners.

Welcome to the forum!

Love the bike so far - it's already acquired a Phil's Farkles luggage rack, a Givi E460 top trunk, a radiator guard from R&G, and a GPS mount for my TomTom Rider.

The photo is not far from Port-aux-Basques, Newfoundland at a scenic look-off where you can see the long-range mountains. The area is called Wreck House, and known for its' high winds.
