New Connie, Old Rider from CO
« on: June 20, 2017, 10:55:27 am »
Just picked up a 2012 Concours last Saturday.  Been riding since 1973.  Currently have a Road King in the garage and a history of too many other bikes in the past, including two ST-1300's.

I'm an IBA member from Colorado and am looking forward to gaining some info about my new ride here.

Hi Rich and Welcome,
Great state to have a bike in.  I have really enjoyed my trips there.  There are a few IBA members here.  Did you do the big dance or one of the other rides?  I have not applied but I have done 1k/24hr undocumented a few times.  Enjoy

Hi Bob.  I've only ridden a Saddle Sore 1000, but plan on doing another one on my 60th birthday next month.  I wouldn't be able to do the rally... knees wouldn't make it.

Colorado is a wonderful place to ride.  The Denver area, which is where I live, is getting very crowded and the mountains can be a real pain at times due to the traffic.  But, if you can find the right day and traffic is light, it's a great place to get away from everything.  I've lived here ten years now since my company transferred me here from Georgia.  Miss the year round snow free roads of Georgia, but we get nearly year round riding here, as long as you don't mind getting a bit chilly!
