New member hello
« on: December 27, 2017, 05:58:42 pm »
Hi All,
Took the plunge on a new 2015 C14 this fall and have been enjoying the bike enormously. I live in North Texas and do most of my riding these days 2 up with my s.o. She named the bike "Flash" pretty much immediately, a fitting name which is appropriate on several levels.
I have ridden most of my life, and come from a sportbike and racing background. The Concours has opened up a bunch of new interest in going places for no reason. I understand the cult following of the bike, it's already one of my all time favorites.
Anyway, glad to be here and looking forward to getting to know the forum.

Welcome Lee, did you get the Green one, really love that color!  I am also here in North TX,  Granbury to be exact.  Bought my new 2017 back in July so I am relatively new here as well.

Welcome Lee. This forum is why I purchased my Conni and has been a steady source of information for me every time I get stuck working on my bike. Glad to have you here.

Thanks Guys,
I have the black one. The red in 2014 was really sweet and probably my favorite, but I decided the 2015+ version with the little improvements to the brakes, seat, rear pegs and gearing was more important than the color. Having lived with it I really like the black. It's a good looking bike.
We rode North and NW Arkansas in October, on my F6b. It was an amazing trip on some of the best public roads I have ever been on. We didn't want to come back...
We'll be riding to the MotoGP races in April for the next trip. Looking forward to that one. Any of you going to the races?

Welcome Lee!  I've got a 2015 in black also, that I picked up in June.  So far I've been loving the bike.  Only mods I've made so far are adding a big Givi Maxia 56 topcase with backrest and Admore lighting installed - very happy with those mods.  Happy riding!

So far I've put on a Shad sh33 rear case , a slip on, and Ivan's flash. The flash is something to behold, I'll post some thoughts on it and the Shad case in the future.
The rear case acts as a perfect backrest for my passenger. She was a little uncomfortable on the bike without it - she had trouble holding on and couldn't relax.

Welcome to the COG forum. There is a fair amount of club activities in your region - and the club's national rally will be in TX in JUNE 2018. It's always a fine time. You may wish to consider a full COG membership. The savings on the rally fees is worth it alone, but there are other member benefits.

Welcome Lee, No surprise you enjoy your C14; I've had a lot of different bikes over the years, but the C14 is my all-time favorite. Welcome to COG too ...
