New Owner here and excited
« on: March 21, 2017, 09:01:43 pm »
I'm a new owner of a 2001 model with 45000 miles. It is not perfect but in pretty good shape. I'm in Pensacola,fl, and love to ride the back roads and beaches we have here. I know I'm going to be hitting all of the members up for knowledge on my bike because this is my first sport touring bike. I've been a cruiser rider and finally came across my dream bike for the right price...lol Thank you guys for the help already given with the two issues I've asked about already. Oh, my nickname came from high school. I'm a big Florida Gators fan and am a clown and liked playing pranks on friends.

Welcome Gatorgoof. You're in my old stomping ground as I grew up in Fort Walton Beach and graduated from Univ of West FL. I have family there as well. Enjoy your new-to-you-ride!

Welcome to the club :great:

I'm not a sports fan but the UT-FL game is a major holiday in Knoxville. It was great as a bartender. I never turned down a tip from a Gator fan😎 Always great fun. You guys party and spend like nobody's business! No Gator Hatin' here

There's a party in Fellesmere this weekend - you up for it?

What Fais said.

I lived in Navarre from 1989-2008 before moving to the Tampa area. Beautiful beaches in the Panhandle, and probably the thing I miss the most other than my oldest daughter, who is still in that area.

You're going to love this bike more and more as you put miles on it. Guaranteed.

Funny how we hang onto things from our HS years. My forum handle was my nickname then because my father was a Caterpillar dealer and my friends and I spent a lot of time in the swamps of south Louisiana where I grew up.

Go Gators! I lived in Bartow as a kid. (It's east of Tampa.) Two of my siblings went to U of F. Welcome to COG!

Welcome Gatorgoof from one new guy to another!  Seems to be a lot of guys on here with some connection to the panhandle of Florida, Navarre, Ft Walton Beach, Pensacola, lots of prior military like me, I suspect.

Welcome again,
