Newbie from Florida
« on: December 17, 2018, 10:23:50 pm »
Hello all,
I recently acquired a 2012 Candy Arabian Red Concours14 with 4k on the clock. I've been riding for 40 years aggressively/safely. I have always been impressed with the Connie, both on paper and in the looks department. I decided to pull the trigger when I found this bare bones stock cream puff. I am located in Seminole, Florida (Pinellas County). My riding zone is North of my location thru central Florida including Pasco, Hernando, Citrus, Marion Counties. I enjoy Brooksville, Floral City, Inverness to Ocala. I occasionally ride NE Georgia and North Carolina when time permits.

I have had the pleasure of speaking with Steve extensively who was very gracious with his time educating me on this machine. Thanks Steve!! He will be doing my ECU flash as soon as we can work out a date. I have ordered a slip on can, new MRA Vario shield, backrest for the rare occasion the wife can ride. Plan on swapping out the stock lighting with LED. I have done lots of reading here, some great info. available.

Thanks for the effort compiling this information on this forum!! Good Stuff.

Welcome to the site from the other corner. Good looking blank canvas, you will like the flashing I strongly suspect.

This event is on the 29th, the Saturday after Christmas. COG membership is not required to attend this or virtually any other COG events.

Also coming up just after that is a weekend camping/socializing event, starting on 4 January. Only $35 non-member price includes a Saturday night feed and two(+?) nights of camping. Awesomely frugal.

I don't know about all that, but yer quite welcome.

I would think it would be quite helpful for anyone new to the bike to hit an event (or 10) to learn "stuff". Particularly if farkling will be happening.

I'm looking at the events calendar to determine what can be squeezed in. Took on a new project at work and caring for our parents, my free time has become non existent.
Thanks for the warm welcome, and the invites. Looks like a good group.

Hi Tundra... don't judge us too quickly  :-X
Welcome to the forum.
With limited time, if you can make the Last Blast, it might be a good intro to just how loony we are. The event itself covers 2-3 hours, depending on how much talking is done, withe good food in the middle.
Nice color BTW...
