Ok here goes my introduction!
Howdy everyone, here is my introduction . Long time motorcyclist...mature rider i suppose 😗 Currently have a KLR650 for my ride (last 4 yrs or so). Always had standard or sporty street bikes prior to this. I miss sport touring ALOT! Bike before was a Kawasaki ZR7S...a great bike i should have kept...anyhoo looking for either a ST1100 or Kawasaki Concours C-10...so kinda covering my bases here. My brother and I do a couple mototrips a year and have decided the klrs are getting a wee bit uncomfortable for longer trips.
So that's my story for now. I do live in a wonderful area for motorcycling in western North Carolina. Look forward to being a member of COG and meeting y'all!
Thanks
Byron

Welcome to COG. Why not a C14? They can be had either used or New Old Stock, both for very good prices.  :great:
Anyway, welcome aboard. :motonoises: Lots of really good people here who offer great information when you ask. Be sure to read the rules about posts.

Welcome aboard.

Just sayin', a 650 Versys makes a great stable mate for a KLR.

On TDY at home.

Welcome to the forum Byron!
All the bikes I heard mentioned are good rides.
I agree that you should consider a C14 as well. Same weight as a C10, a little less top heavy, and a lot more GO.

Just to let you know since you are new here, COG is more than just the forum.

Come out and check out some of the activities. One of the best yearly ones is about to take place a few hours from you. The Run with the Wolf rally in Suches GA is a great event. You'll get to see quite a variety of bikes there... even some other KLRs :-).

Again...welcome to the forum :great:

Welcome aboard Byron. A C10 isn't a bad low cost stable mate to the KLR for going on the long hauls.
Good luck with the search.

Thanks for all the welcomes.  Looking at the C-10 mostly because it's a budget thing (hey I ride a KLR, that's a big clue 😝).  Can't make this year's Run with the Wolf, but will go next year.  We have camped at Two Wheels of Suches, very cool place.  So will look at a few more gatherings and events and will try to attend.  Look forward to meeting folks in COG!
Cheers
Byron
