WASHINGTON NEW MEMBER,2012 C14
« on: June 04, 2017, 06:07:50 pm »
Just purchased my first Concourse few weeks ago.
2012 black ,2200 miles on it.
Missing hard cases and all emblems so I get many confused looks and questions.
So far I have been feeling out the bike and coming from a 600 bandit I must say I have been impressed with the power and overall handling of this bike.
Being my first shaft driven bike, I have been getting used to the subtle differences in putting power to the ground and shifting characteristics.
After adding 2200miles on 4 rides ,2 trips to Salem area MT.Hood ,Silverton falls, And 2 trips to Spokane area, and back to Yakima down thru tri-cities I have found the stock seat isnt going to be on there much longer.
I'm 6'4" and find myself being pushed into the tank for a less than loving relationship with the jewels.
I think the ECU Flash/DYNO tuning is my next step...
Any solid advice would be greatly appreciated from anyone with personal knowledge not already posted in the many convluted threads i have dug into.
Well that's enough for an intro.
Oh yeah, I'm an OTR Trick driver, when I get back to town every couple weeks I jump on the bike and ride..

Just looking for fun riding on smooth twisted roads to escape the daily crazy s*** out there.

Welcome!  :great: Post pics of your new ride when you get a chance! Check the Emporium section as on occasion someone will post hard cases for sale. It might not be the same color but you can get it painted. As for the ECU, check out Steve's flash aka SiSF! Many threads in the C14 section on positive reports including myself. Service and turnaround time is excellent! Here's his site:

Grats on the new bike John, and you are correct the stock seat has to go. I sent my Corbin to Seth Laam last month and had to do a few rides on a stocker. YIKES, I forgot how bad that thing was.

Robert is correct, if you want a flash for your bike go with one of Steve's flashes. There are tons of threads on the forum that will support his work.

:welcome:

Congrats on the C14 and welcome to the forum. Find something on the calendar and come join us. The North West has a good group of Connie loving guys and gals. Social time is always good with this crowd too.  Tim
