Recent Concourier and deer strikes
« on: October 12, 2012, 06:54:11 pm »
After flipping through today's fall issue I see a report and a cartoon obout deer and our bike. Considering on Oct. 6Th I experienced my own deer strike I am now wondering how often and how bad the outcome we have had .
My own experience was a clip of about a 100 lb fawn at speed. It took out a headlight, plastic, side bag, and bent my McEnterprise Engine guard about 45 degrees. Kept it upright and was able to complete 600 miles of the trip. Killed Bambi.
The first estimate to the insurance is $3200. Will see the final outcome next week when I get it back.
