Front Brake Guard
« on: April 12, 2012, 06:48:58 pm »
MotoGP bikes this year are running guards for the front brake lever.  This prevents brake lock if you accidentally hit a competitor.

Not sure if you remember Barbera clipping Simoncelli's bike and falling at 140 mph but it was ugly.

Same device might help problems for lane-splitters.

The time has come to travel while the oatmeal-eaters tarry at their fort. To this end, I have chosen a train of stout dogs to pull a toboggan of trade goods. We are eager to proceed and the dogs are baying at their tethers.

Serious? I would be scared to death, if you got that close to a competitor where you would have the brake lock, that that thing would hook into the competitors bike or person somehow. I would think a closed loop would be more appropriate, this thing looks like a meat-hook. Heck why not just mount a gaffers pole on the bar end.

Either that photo is reversed, the clutch lever is being protected or they have swapped sides on the brake/clutch lever.

Sorry, I was reading about Leonardo and his mirror-image handwriting.  This better?
