I hear you, this was sort of last minute for us, my parents are going to be up there with their Goldwing club so I might get a ride in with the old folks. With my wife just getting back into being on the bike after a couple years this will be a great area to ride.

I may day ride up from NW CT  to check out the Vendor Expo. That starts Tuesday so will aim for Wed or Thur.  If anyone is up for a ride or meeting somewhere in LG, we can work out details.

Ok, we'll aim for Thursday. Is Wednesday "golfing day"?  :nananana:  ;D
Yes, Spring Fling will be a blast. Sorry you can't make it.

Still planning on hopping up to Americade on Thursday June 8. Departing NW CT at 08h for a 160-mile run up to the  Vendor Expo. Spend some time wandering the Expo, catch a bite to eat, and then head back home via a different path, about 150 miles. If there is any interest in meeting somewhere along the route or in Lake George, let me know via this thread or pm.

for the bike races this weekend. Have fun and spend some money for me.

Mitch,

I might be interested in tagging along on Thursday if the weather holds out. I've got to check a couple things to be
sure but should know by Tuesday if I can make it.

That would be great. I'm sure we could figure out a convenient meeting spot. Hope you can make it.

Greg,

Do you have a route mapped out?  Pat and I were talking about it today and I'm thinking about how I might be able to join your "little band."

Here are .gdb and .gpx files of  a tentative route. It is not "hard" and can be modified to facilitate meeting locations along the way.

Also a lunch spot has been picked out: Adirondack Bar & Grill located at the intersection of  9L and 149.

Adirondack Bar & Grill
982 NY-149
Queensbury, NY
518-793-2325

Exact ETA time has not yet been determined, based on if/how many rendezvous spots we have. It will be around  noon plus/minus. I'll firm it up Wednesday.

As far as the route north,  planning on crossing  INT-90 at East Chatham on NY-295 There is no interstate exit here but the Taconic exit is just a few miles to the west for looping back.  Or jump off on Rt-22 north using the east exit and make your way to 295.

There is not much in East Chatham. The US Post Office could be a rendezvous.
1111 NY-295, East Chatham, NY 12060

The route crosses Rt-2 in Cropseyville, NY at the intersection of NY-351. There is a Sunoco on Rt-2. 4005 NY-2, Cropseyville, NY 12052

You guys may have different rendezvous spots in mind. Offer them up and we'll see if we make it work.

I might actually go to this for a day trip, possibly tomorrow, since my Minneapolis trip got pushed out 3 weeks.

Decided last minute to do a few days... Staying in Stony Creek at the usual place with the usual Americade crew. Just me and Rocketman today.  Vendor area tomorrow morning. Headed home Friday or Saturday, weather depending.

gMitch,

Sorry we didn't see you up at Americade today. Wayne and I got in a little earlier then expected and finished the vendor expo
fairly quickly. We did run into our AD Steve Smith and Rocketman while walking around. Hope your lunch meeting at the
Adirondack went well. It was a interesting day and I put on around 325 miles for the round trip with light traffic and nice roads.

It was nice to bump into Pat & Wayne. It was a successful visit to the expo by not spending any $$. After leaving expo we did a nice 150 mile ride to Greenwich for lunch and back to Stony Creek. We think we saw JR while riding back.
