Unsure if this was posted....   Free entrance to Acadia NP the Saturday during the rally...

To encourage Americans to explore our country's natural beauty, rich history and culture, Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell announced that the National Park Service will waive entrance fees on 16 days in 2016.
September 24 National Public Lands Day

Sweet!!!Sounds like a camp fire story,,,
LOL

But remember... The park loop road is a scenic road, lot's of people putting along, taking in the view or riding bikes or hiking... You get the idea. It's not really a place to attack the twisties.
Rangers can get really grumpy, really fast... And if they need "backup", they call the FBI. And the FBI doesn't like to be called... Yes, there is a story behind all this  :o

Thanks everyone for attending.  Once again Tracey and I had a great time with wonderful people.

If anyone wants any of their pictures put into the NE Newsletter, please send them to COG7010@verizon.net or post a link and tell me which ones.
Please send by end of day Monday 9/26/16.

See everyone at the next event!

Again a great time was had by all. People I've seen at other rallies and people I've never seen before all with that one thing in common. The addiction to two wheels :) A huge thank you to all who helped Jr remove the radiator. You know who you are. The Chinese replacement was supposed to be here Tuesday. It was on my steps when I got home today! That will be a project for next weekend maybe. As long as the repair holds I'll be fine and I want to do a few other things I need to line up when I have everything removed again to do the radiator.

Another great NE rally. Accommodations were great except WI-FI sucked, food was out of this world and people once again were outstanding. Thanks to Kevin and the Habels for an OUTSTANDING RALLY! Took 10 hrs to get back to central Jersey, but well worth it. Once again, Cog is about the People, not the bike.....

Kudos to the rally team - this was a great event. The motel was a stellar choice - friendly staff, incredibly well kept rooms, great location with harbor views and short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The food and prices at the Tan Turtle Tavern was awesome, including the group rally BBQ dinner.

What an awesome rally!  Got back to the barn at about 2:30 this afternoon after an overnight in Queensbury, NY.  Just over 1500 miles for the trip.  Kevin, Tracy and Greg did one helluva job on this one!  Kudos to all for a great effort.  Hell I even stopped for some scenery it was so good! :-\

A great way to wind down the rally season. :motonoises: :great: :beerchug:

We had a good time yet again. A big thanks to Kevin, Greg and Tracy for a nice time. A very nice venue. I clocked over 1,200 miles though, so it was a fair hike for us. It was great to see old friends and meet some new ones. Although I will say that I was a little disappointed with the less than normal parking lot socializing. Although the Tan Turtle beverage center was nice. I think it might have detracted from the normal gathering of crowds later in the day (more than normal). I'm thinking that I might have met more folks that I probably missed out on.  So to me, it seemed a bit quieter than most rallies.
But other than having to cart beverages back home (which has never happened to me before).  :))    We had a great time. My only real downer. I wanted to find a Tim Horton's, but never ran into one at the right time. But I did get a good fill of seafood.  :beerchug:

My room or just outside it seemed to be gathering central in the lot. Be it to watch a radiator swap or just to shoot the chit. The parking lot socializing seemed to be going well.

We had a great time, even though it was a short weekend. My schedule is always messed up due to work.
But we are working a resolution for that.
We will be around for many more events for sure.
