Crab Cake Ride: 3 starting locations [PA-MD]
2019 Crab Cake Ride (new this year) ride in from three different starting locations

Sunday March 24

We will be riding to Schaffer’s Canal House in Chesapeake City Md and we will make plans for seating at 1:15 pm. RSVP by March 21, 2019

Meet at 10am kickstands up at 10:30am at the Sheetz store on the south side of Hanover PA. Sheetz 1841 Baltimore Pike, Hanover PA 17331 at the intersection of Route 94 and Brunswick Drive. GPS N39 45.799 W76 57.612

As Russell mentions, this year we are starting the ride from three different geographic locations. This makes sense since many who wanted to group ride needed to ride and hour or two just to get the start.

I will be leading the ride from the third start location, and promise you it will have lots of sweeping turns. Please let me know if you plan to attend so that we can give the restaurant a count for the reservation.

The ride from Marietta is all set.

It's a 67 mile ride and estimated to be 1 Hour 50 Minutes not including a stop at the Wawa in Nottingham, PA at the 45 Mile mark.

Thanks to Chuck Landis who pointed out this Kornfusion. Marrietta and Mt Joy are next to each other and there are two Sheetz stores to think about. The original starting location and what was on the calendar were listed incorrectly. The calendar is now correct and here is the new information!

Just confirming numbers for Sunday.
2 for myself
3 for Lobo

Since none of the start locations are near us, Lobo and I are meeting at the park and ride at exit 74 off 95 north at 11:15am just north of Baltimore.

Is it important to let you know if the numbers change?

It will be good seeing your group, and thanks for letting us know. The headcounts are for the restaurant reservation so they can have the space and tables ready for our group. It would be helpful if anyone that plans to attend or can no longer attend chimes in.

Disclaimer I’m not a weatherman, but I can read and look out the window...... it has rained hard all day up and down the east coast which should wash away the last vestiges of road salt. But runoff could lead to piles of cinders, so ride carefully. Sunday calls for sunny and a high of 60 degrees so looking mighty fine.

We will not be attending. Even thou it will get to an ok temp in the afternoon, the starting temp near freezing along with it being a 5 hour riding day is more than we can endure. I have never invested in heated gear and don't like the cold enough to start now. Last week the forecast was for about 15 degrees warmer with a sunny day.
