Finally got the Ninja, 30 years late.   Nice complement to the C10.

I had an 85 600 Ninja in that paint scheme.  I still kick myself for selling it.  Nice find!

Nice bike bozosoku! I have one too!

I hope you enjoy yours.  My son and I brought this one back from 7 years of storage and more than a little neglect.....it turned out pretty nice and runs out really nice.  I don't get a chance to ride mine much and have been on the fence for some time regarding selling it.

If you have any questions, please reach out....I will be glad to help anyway I can.

My 84. It burned in 2000 with my 99 Blackbird and wife's 2002 Ninja 400 in a garage fire.

Very nice ! I hope mine will look as good as yours.  I am surprised how strong it is for a 30 year old.   One question : The blue strip on my tank has some chipped area, it  looks  like  a sticker but Kawasaki is not selling it, do you know what the paint code is or what is the closest  rattle can color ?

lather:  That stinks!  I have never lost a bike to a fire...have to believe that is a helpless feeling.

bozosuku:  You are correct.  That is a decal and on the tank it is cleared over.  You are also correct, those decals are no longer available. :-(  Although I have not needed to match the blue on the bike, I did need some for the red and found a paint supply place that used a tool to scan the color and mixed up some for me.  You could probably do the same for the blue.

Hope that helps and good luck with the resto!  Fun bike to work on and a blast to ride.

You guys are making me regret selling my 85 GpZ 550.  The styling was timeless and the bike set the pace for the future of Japanese sport bikes.

If I recall correctly there was one year that Kawasaki made the GPZ1100, the GPZ900 Ninja and the Ninja 750 Turbo.

Had a red '87 1000R. Quite a bike.
