Always a sad day....
« on: June 15, 2017, 01:13:31 am »
it's always a sad day when the stable is lightened to make room.  Today the Nomad and sidecar went on to a new home.  Sad to see her go, but it had to go to make room for the new C10/Sidecar.  I love the new one, so it won't linger on my mind too long.  Besides that, the guy that bought it has a 7 year old son.  He took him for a short test ride around the block in the car.  if you had seen the HUGE smile on the little guy's face when they pulled back into the driveway, you'd know as I do that the rig is going to be well loved!

Now I'm down to 3 bikes and I have room in the garage again!!!!   :great: :great: :great:

I feel for ya'.  But, a happy 7 year old, a good home and more room in the garage helps ease the pain. (And now you will start thinking...I have room in the garage....what can I build now?)  ;D

A nomad is slow. It has damping rod forks, a steel frame and a lackluster engine. Weren't you bored with it? I know you can ride beyond that bike's abilities many times over.

Recently I sold two bikes in the same day. I had no use for either one of them. A VTX1300 that my girlfriend was totally bored with since it is so slow and can't turn worth a darn. And a BMW 650 that uses oil like any single could, with ABS that always fails. Sometimes it's good to get rid of bikes. I won't miss either one of those one bit like selling a boat. But if you touch my ZX14 or my Gixxer 1k you're in for it. If only I could justify getting an H2R   >:D

Not bored at all.   I rode it for what it was.  Low and slow.  :)
