Nice find Jen, I likely. Maybe a radar detector could be mounted on it, ha ha. Friend of mine had one back in the day when it was the fastest production bike.

Probably wouldn't help too much. That just looks crazy fast even sitting still. It might be hard to keep a clean driving/riding history very long on that. I think that's a possible ticket magnet but no doubt fun enough to be worth it.
Snowmobiles, I have a bunch.
Motorcycles-I haven't had anything except dirtbikes 30 years ago, so this will be all new to me.

They're beautiful bikes, that's for sure.
But Jen... it's a BLACKbird, not a PINKbird...

dat motor!

I had one.

It was my first and only bike that went an actual 200 mph.

It took some gear changes and a bit of road, but I got there.

Lemme tell ya - relativity aint no joke. At 200 the wind is a dragon trying to rip you off the seat. Anything not tucked-in gets bitten.

Deer killed it. ****** t-boned me. He lept out of the woods, put his head down, and rammed me while I was cruising south at a gentle 35 mph on 101 near Hoodsport in Washington.

I loved that bike. The engine is like a turbine. I liked the little "UFO" screw thingies.

That BlackBird looks really nice in the pictures. I found them to be very comfortable as well as fast. I've ridden a few and found them to be top notch. They were just a little too tucked in and especially the foot pegs for me though. Had I been a little younger and more flexible, I would have went for one. Typical Honda fit and finish was head and shoulders above the Busa and ZX14. Which makes up for the slight power disadvantage. IF they were all still new bikes, I probably would have went with the Honda.

Nice bike Jenn. :great:

Had a 2001 Candy Glory Red Blackbird, one of the nicest colors I have ever seen on that bike.   Heli bars helped the ergos for me, 1 of the many bikes I wish I still had.

Not mine but was identical

Connie--if the cam chain replacement goes right, and quickly.
But I'm gonna throw a rear tire on the Blackbird so it will be able to make the trip, if necessary.

Jen, do you really think you're going to ride the C10 again now that you've stepped up to this kind of power? It reminds my of a ZZR1200 I once had. Very sleek look to the Blackbird for sure. I'll be interested to hear if you change the sprocket sizes to change your ratios. If that is carb'd the trick is to pull the pilot welch plugs and turn the screws out to 2 3/4 turns on that bike. BTW: those are damping rod forks. You're going to want to get the internals serviced. That design is the same as the C10.

Welcome to a new level of performance and be safe. See you and your Blackbird at the Wolf?  ;D

The 'Bird has all the power I want stock, but I'm gonna pick the bars up an inch or so, and re-work the seat for better long distance comfort.

Yeah, Connie is still my number one favorite bike for everything and if I could have only one, it's the C-10. That said, I sure do like the Blackbird as an extra option!

Nice ride, I had one in the early 2000's, so smooth and easy to ride.  I had a silver one, just a nice nice ride.  Enjoy!
