thats interesting, been some buzz about it on the grom boards.  might have to get one, i love my grom but its built pretty stout (probably in the 25-27 hp range ight now with more to come). just a boatload of fun. i like the trellis frame on the benelli though.  :great:

down the road i *may* fabricate a small trailer to haul the grom behind the c10.  ;)

first off...I got a trailer if you need to borrow it!  (see pic)

second...how on earth were you able to nearly triple the HP output of the grom?  If it's possible, I want to know cause I might be able to improve my hawk more.

I'd like to see that rolling down the road.
I say down, because up the road would really give your C-10 a serious workout!

I know how to bump the HP on your Hawk "up" a lot.
Jack up the headlight and roll a Kawasaki 250 under it.. <grin>  :rotflmao:

Ride safe, Ted

4 valve head on a 170cc big bore, custom stainless scrambler exhaust I built, power commander, huge injector, 34mm throttle body and just some really detailed tuning. as far as the towing thing...I figure i can make a small trailer and get it around 80-100 lbs. aluminum, etc. (im pretty good at lightweight fabrication stuff so should be pretty easy) bikes about 235-240 wet depending how much fuel is in it. basically, as much as a fat passenger and a lot of gear.  :))  wouldnt plan on miracle mile but if not, i have another bike thats 165 lbs that does 80mph and is great for tight twisties.

did i say i like small overpowered bikes?  :motonoises: :motonoises:

speedo recall. its within 1/2 mph accurate of gps.

also has a racetech valving kit & springs in the forks, slipper clutch, piggyback rear shock, and wb2 w afr gauge for auto tuning and been lightened quite  a bit here and there. note the 4 pot brembo caliper up front & twin piston (not in this pic) out back.
*its a little spicy*

i have around 4k miles on this setup, its pretty reliable as well.

thanks for the trailer offer... its not pressing but would be a fun project then hit the gap next spring with 'the rig'

Is the Hawk a decent bike?  Does it require a lot of maintenance?  I've been eying them a bit, but right now I don't have the time or skill for wrenching, so I wasn't sure if it was for me.
