If you have owned one ...tell me the good and the bad. My son is thinking about one, a new 2014 Deluxe model...9350 out the door.

have you searched for a VFR forum?  I owned a predecisor VF750S.  I loved that bike.  I've never heard anything negative about the 800s.  is he an experienced rider?

I had an 06, great bike, bulletproof!  :great:

I've been looking at the newer ones as well lately, for some reason they didn't sell great but I don't know why. I think sticker was like 13'sh right? I've seen many for sale that are new leftover 14's for sale in the mid-8's for the deluxe model, the base model I've seen for only 7 new, seems like great fun at that price. I asked my local shop who has a couple new leftovers why they didn't sell, they said the kids would rather have the Gixxer or CBR etc, the VFR are dogs compared to those, he said mostly "older" folks buy them...

Please keep us posted, I'd love to hear your feedback.

Don't be fooled, the VFR is no slouch and can hang with the rocket crowd when ridden by an experienced rider.

I always wanted a VFR800 in that bright yellow color.

I will have one! Some day...

I own one,a 1998 with 93000 on the od. I will never get rid of it.Valves have been looked at three times, never have been out of adjustment. I'm the only owner it has ever seen.I still take it out on three or four day tours.

Great post.

I had the vf500f in red white and blue. Of course - wish I still had it  . . .

I think the VFR didn't sell bc 13ish can go so many ways and it's not a true enough tourer or sport bike for most. It is beautiful and that motor has always been a gem. Wonder why there's not a V4 in a Civic Si - the torque is so good. Well, anyway - kool aid will be served anywhere you go asking about VFRs - great bike.

just like some of the older guys in this post (notice i didn't say old), I've had a VFR750 Interceptor (older gen). The engine is awesome, and I remember it pushed quite hard. My uncle had a 2008 i believe, the red one. Damn that thing was fast, even with us 2 on it (i'm not a small guy)!

Your kid will really like it I think!
