Brett McCormick Update

Sounds like Brett is on track for a full recovery, despite breaking his C5 neck vertebrae.  Here's a write-up:

Here's a vid of the crash - Checa forces him wide while being a lap down.

The time has come to travel while the oatmeal-eaters tarry at their fort. To this end, I have chosen a train of stout dogs to pull a toboggan of trade goods. We are eager to proceed and the dogs are baying at their tethers.

Good to hear he's recovering.  I know it's racing and all, but for Checa to pull that after having to pit at that stage of the race was pointless at the least and downright dangerous, as it ultimately proved, at worst.  There was no way he was going to finish in any meaningful position, and now another rider is in the hospital due to his pointless haste.  I think Carlos is overall a good rider and racer, I hope he takes time to apologize to McCormick at some point.  :(
