Sometimes people mix up bravery with adrenaline.

That guy should have been carted off to the med station for an assessment of things like concussion, internal injuries, etc.

Now that's toughness!  But, he was very lucky in the way he came off the bike and landed.  Compare that to what happened to Quinn Cody in this year's Dakar rally:



Yep, that was it for him; broken shoulder and collarbone, multiple contusions and lots of blood.  Amazing he was conscious after the crash- although if you heard the coverage interview he was massively dis-oriented and confused.  Hope he recovers and gives it another go next year- he was doing pretty well up to that point!

+1   internal injuries kill you when you don't even realize that your hurt.
