I left Friday morning early- drove  home  520 miles in 6 hours- unloaded and took off for another 200 mile ride  to the other side of Florida for the weekend.
I had a great time. Best roads anywhere IMHO.   :great: :beerchug:

OMoaC is safe and sound in Hendo NV. Last night in Grants NM was chilly (48 Deg to start the day) to end in 108. Another awesome run. Great job rally team! Let the planning begin for '17.

Friday I did Woody's gap (The Stone Pile to Suches) on my Bicycle and back and then finished it off with Woody's/ Wolfs pen/ Hogs pen (348) on the Connie.  Started for Central Florida at 7 on Saturday and was begging for some rain before I got home.  Work is a four letter word!

Since Sierra and I trailered our bikes - the trip home was pretty uneventful.
Granted, Saturday's drive from O'Fallon, MO to Parker, CO (800 miles) was long - but we made it home before 8pm.
Got the bikes unloaded on Sunday and have ridden to work the last two days (upper 80s each day).
I like the roads down yonder a bunch.  Great riding.  A bit different than most of Colorado in that you're dealing with blind corners nearly all the time. But as for vistas and sight-seeing - I'll stick to my Rocky Mtn backyard, thanks very much.
Ride safe(r).

OK, I'm late on this but I made it home Friday night around 8:00 safe and sound. It was a 568 mile straight shot. Yah, I know, I'm a wimp by IBA standards. I really enjoyed riding these roads again but with Steve's flash this time. Usually ran a gear higher than the others and was right on with both acceleration and deceleration with them. I had disconnected my battery the night before the trip to check something so all the instrument recordings were zeroed out. I rode 1626 miles total averaging 42.9 mpg overall. This included the ride up and back at ~75+mph (garmin) and all the playing in the mountains. Had a blast and met some great people! :motonoises:

I made it back home yesterday (Tuesday) about 2 p.m. after taking a detour from Helen to Charlotte to spend the weekend with friends and visit my mother, then on to Hampton, VA for business and back home mostly on the slab. 2560 miles total in 10 days. Not much for you iron butts, but as someone who had never done more than about 400 miles in a day, finishing off with a 525 mile day after the previous 2000 miles taught me a lot about what I'm capable of.

Next time I'll remember to switch the Russell for the Corbin before the wife leaves with it so I'll have the extra inches to stretch out when solo. :)  My left knee would appreciate it.

Got home safe in Cleveland Ohio Saturday afternoon. 2300 miles total for the week, not much but anytime on two wheels is good. A great time, great people, great camping and best of all, great camp fires, thanks JR.
