When and where is the Spider ride?

The weekend prior to this event. The 16th - 18th, it's in Steelville, MO. This is the 21st year I believe.

Check out the North Central Events in the Rides section of the forum, Nicole. There are also a couple of articles about it in the latest Concourier issue (Spring).

Just seen this, didn't know about the venue switch!  I made the change and actually averted severe aggravation.  The old hotel only had me down for Thursday night.  I'd a been looking for a shelter Friday and Saturday.

I'll be arriving at Jacks on Thursday afternoon.  I'll be solo so looking to buddy up for a ride on Friday and Saturday.

I live in the area, I would gladly ride with some people, just let me know what you want to do, long rides/short rides and I can plan a great route.

Can you include Push Mountain Road in that route?

Jim, et al,

AR 341 aka Push Mountain Road is just right up AR 14 from Jack's.

Let me lead you up AR 9 up to Melbourne and back too.   Tight twisties/chicanes that are great fun.  :great:

Lots of roads and we can even work in Mt Judea!!!!  :-\  better be in 1st gear on the switchbacks!

Absolutely, that is on one of my regular routes for a morning blast. One of my favorites for a group that wants to put some miles on is a loop that is a bit over 400 miles from Allison and all over some of the best roads in the NE Arkansas area.
Let me know, I should be down Thursday afternoon and can take a ride out to Push Mountain and back. Friday would be a good day to make that 400 mile day if anyone wants.

Stone Co. is dry, you can ride AR 14 over to Baxter Co and there's beer store at the county line (20 mins to the store)

Fine wine and spirits require a ride to Mountain Home on Push Mountain Road into town.  :party0036:

There is a liquor store in Salesville now, just at the end of 5, you don't have to go all the way into Mountain Home

I will take no traffic on AR 341 over all the towns on AR 5 any day. You can go either way once you are at AR 201.

I usually buy wine, so a little bounce in the pannier is not a big deal.

Where I am referring to is taking a right at 201 at the end of PMR and then a left on 5 which in about 2 miles brings you into Salesville the Liquor store is in sight of the Triangle.

I just spoke with a person that works at Blanchard Liquors on Hwy 14 by Blanchard caverns and he indicated they also sell spirits and wine along with beer.  Gravity Brew Works is also just west of the hwy 341 turnoff and they sell their craft beer in quart or half gallon growlers, they also serve their beer on premise.  Open Thur-Sat noon-8pm.

I usually buy box wine so no level of twisties can have any negative effects on the spirits on the way back.

The liquor store in Salesville has a decent beer selection. I was last there for about five days in May, stayed in/near Salesville. Real nice riding in that neighborhood.

I have a shot at attending this, I'll have to see how it works with some other stuff going on.
