Too bad Tom, we were looking forward to seeing you again. Maybe we'll just have to make an RTE at the place we had lunch by the river.
Not kidding, that was a neat place!

Jorge, yes that was a great day and ride. I remember that your wife was thrilled to ride some curves at speed and not be nervous about it. I' ll be itching for a ride by the time I get back in June. :motonoises:

Irene will have had a track school by the time you get back. That Vulcan'S' is going to be hard to keep up with in 2017!

Patti - Ewa is going to look at flying into Knoxville and riding down with me. We might cage down so we can camp in the truck. We will bring a bike or 2 with us. I'll sign up as soon as I can be sure I'll make it(!)

I took the car last year,  but I've rode both the good roads in that area....  and they aren't really good at all.  :(  It's nice to ride A1A for scenery... Straight as a nail, but ocean beaches and turquoise water doesn't suck, and there's lots of places to eat.  1.25 hours north is the Kennedy Space Center, which is a fun day out....  do the bus tour...  lots more to see.  Police Hall of fame is right there by KSC, and have a nice indoor high tech shooting range.  So is the Astronaut Hall of Fame... no range though.  Port Canaveral has the 'Victory Casino' four hour cruises....

Ride further inland, there's a few decent riding routes.

Be nice Jim.

Settin' the bar kinda high, aren't ya??    :)

Willy is gonna be very upset if you don't attend Fais! He was just telling me last night how much he is looking forward to seeing everyone again. You and Roman made the biggest impressions, go figure. ;)

You need to mount a solar panel on your helmet a extra battery in your ice cream cooler

I have a neighbor that installs solar in boats and RV's he's going to do the electrical in my RV conversion with solar on the roof , he said

four big 145lb batteries and I should be good.

I don't drink enough  anymore to do Karaoke .

Not sure what happen but I scraped my climbing boots hard (big mistake, never wore them before riding)

stood my bike up and went off road once my self , when It's time to bail out go with the flow , don't fight it.

Hope you have a quick recovery, what turn was it?

11 I think ... Not too hard a turn ..."missed it by that much" ... I seemed fine through the earlier turns ... I think i followed the rules and was looking ahead ... But maybe accelerated to hard and pushed wider than I expected. Didnt realize I was running off until too late.  :-[

Bummer on the bike.

You can always cage it. It's not you would be missing out on any legendary riding.  ;) :beerchug:

Damian, it looked to me like you went off at 12. I wasn't directly behind you, but I came past as I finished my lap and cleared the track. You were at the start of the braking markers for 13 and the bike was off to the left side. Hope you are feeling better.

i don't want hijack this thread ... but just to clarify ... I probably came off at 12 on the right ... the bike (I think) went across the track and landed on the left ... does that sound correct?

We'll give them back the thread in a sec, or we can ask the mods to split this to a new thread.

12 is the little left bend after 11, so if you went off on the right you were pretty far off line. But you ended up on the right side of the track at the start of the braking markers for 13 and the bike was off on the left side in the grass a little further down. I was on the other side of the track when it happened, so I didn't see what happened.

I'm kinda taking it Ed, that what he is saying is he went off at 12, cause he hit it a little too hard coming out of 11. Makes sense, from what I saw too. Poop happens, unfortunately....but please do try not to do that again Damien...ya freaked me right the hell out. ;)

I agree with SteveJ though, caging it and getting to talk it out with your buds might be cathartic for ya. Just about everyone has their own story.
