Approximate ETA - Saturday 4:ish

Should be in need of a cold one upon arrival... :beerchug:

Should have a quality brew ready for 'attitude adjustment' Tom.

I'm going to try to get there by 9:00 am on Friday.  Depending on Orthopedist's
opinion on my quirky ankle, I may be riding a Ford.   :(

As a transportation planner, I wonder just how low is the threshold for sight in a driving permit????

If you can text and snap chat on your mobile device, you'll be fine...  It's the new standard...   :o

I'm considering bringing my lifted jeep. I got a snorkel and tow points.

Who here is going offroad at this event?

Not me.... not intentionally anyway.  BTDT.

Wiped the cobwebs off poor Connie today, and took her for a spin.  Filled her up with the good stuff (89).
Last time out out was a check ride after the "WTF happened in GA Overhaul".  So with new plugs, adjusted valves,
new CCT (threw it in there) and a carb sync, she's right as rrr.....  I ain't sayin' it.   :-X

Am checking the weather (egads, why, oh why...) and it looks to be a wet, chilly ride down on Saturday followed by a wet, chillier ride back on Sunday. Alternative is a brew date over warm propane heat drinking homebrews.  Hmmmmmmmmm. Ya'll may be doing without me this time. Oh well, I've supported the cause. Have a good one, whilst I down more than one of the same!

Saturday should be nice with the cold rainy front moving through overnight into Sunday morning.

Considering my wife's aversion to camping in less than ideal conditions, we may end up being day riders in.

On a more somber note, I'm cagin' it this year.   :(

Having said that, I'll have an EZ-UP in the trunk, and a bigger cooler!

Wife and I will cage down tonight.  Considering that the weather tonight should be good and Saturday night, not so good, I'm going to try to get her to camp tonight.

Tomorrow we'll come back down on bikes.

The BMW Coldest Rally was a blast...even without my bike! I need hlep compressing pics to upload here. Please pm me if you can advise.

Marty brought his canopy, which at low position allowed us to huddle by the fire while others ran from the brief rainstorm :great: From now on I'm bringing canopies. Good job Marty on saving the day!

Glad ya'll had a good event!
Would really have liked to spend the weekend with you good folks, but seeing as how the outdoor temp in northwest Georgia is 37 with a windchill making it feel like 29 just standing outside, I woulda froze something important if I were just now getting home on my bike. Current temperature gradient shown.

The great folks at the Northeast Florida BMW Owners Club never disappoint.
The rally itself was great, with seminars, tech sessions, demonstrations, and
tasty dinners both Friday and Saturday night.  My 5th year attending, and I'll
be signing up for my 6th.  Thank You BMWNEF and all the volunteers!

The weather was EXTREME.  Mixed sun and clouds with high temps in the mid 70's,
and lows in the 50's at night.  Very unusual... but welcomed by all.

This year, they dropped off a huge pile of firewood right next to our fire ring, which
was another treat... No firewood caravans to the Airhead section for re-fills.

Though our group was small (10-12) the BMW crew were fantastic company, as
usual, and in the evening everyone was hopping from fire to fire to talk and have a good time.

Saturday night, we were met by a lenghty rain shower from 8-10:30p after the banquet.  We faired well
with an E-Z-UP and a closer than usual seating set up, but still kept a roaring fire and the good time
rolling along.  Rain, thunder and lightning came back about 1am... but we were about done.

Great time!  Great friends!  Great Rally!
