Don't have snooze-control yet. Waiting for ZG (or Kurt) to find that farkle. Cruise control is pretty nice though, but still getting used to that.

it makes Iron Butt rides a lot easier!   :great:

Tell Denise to bring a helmet....

I quit!

I'll be there on my 'wing too. She'll have a choice which one to ride on or she can try both.  :))

You might as well start perusing Craigs list now. You'll be buying one sooner than later.  :rotflmao:

Out of (in)sincere sympathy to the plight of the multi-bike owning, David S., I have cleaned up the C-14 and shall attempt to ride that so I can keep up with Tom on I-85 and prevent a catastrophic meltdown in NC...The boss is otherwise occupied with registration at the college tomorrow and will reluctantly be working instead.

However, I think Tom did invite about 10-12 friends at least, to come with us and I invited 2 more. If they don't show  up, we'll try to recruit a few at various rest stops along the way...

We shall see @ 7:30 tomorrow morning in Jefferson GA at the McD's. If anyone else is heading that way, look for us. I-85 northbound @ 8:00 am. 1 C-14, 1 C-10.

Having owned a C10 (2000) model, newer than Tom's, I can completely assure you that your 'wing will EASILY  keep pace with Tom (you have ridden with Tom, right?). ;D

Thank you to all the people who helped organize the event today.  I hope everyone had as much fun as I did.  It was great to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones.  And-  South Carolina won!!!

Thanks to you Kev!  SC pulled off another win. This time it was in "enemy" territory and in spite of Dave's attempts to cheat. ;)

Cindy and I had a great time seeing everyone (regardless of state) and enjoyed the "tire-kicking and bench racing" in the parking lot after the meal.

Was really great to see Dick McWay (COG #233) again. He's been suffering from vertigo for what seems like ages (probably seems longer to him). He rode all the way in from Pickens, SC.

Was also great to have Tom Sills ride in from Rome, GA and our AD, Ron Simmons. They counted for SC. :great:

Lots of fun. Neat place. Good food. Super people! I especially enjoyed talking with Kevin. Tom and I rolled across the Palmetto State and back to my house at a leisurely pace and arrived about dark. See y'all soon!

Likewise, enjoyed the company of COGgers. Glad to catch up with many of you and to make new acquaintances with the rest.
Had a great weekend of riding and learning anew what a nice bike the C-10 can be to take on the road. My 15-hour day was capped off by some excellent Hall County hospitality and the best mileage per gallon yet obtained with my bike following Ron on the leg back to Gainesville, 43.6. When I was in the lead, the mileage was not nearly so great. I'm blaming it on headwinds, yeah, that's it, headwinds.... :))

27.75 mpg for a C-10 is battling some serious headwinds.... :rotflmao:

There was some debate about the accuracy of the computations, but it's hard to be efficient at 8* mph and getting pushed by traffic.
