UPDATE:

The host for this event has graciously allowed the date to shift to July 15th so those that can attend the NC Rally can also attend this RTE. Looks like some great riding is in store for July....

There was certainly some of that earlier. I'm coming, just haven't registered. I'm a horrible bowler, so I'm coming to cheer, er...jeer...

Time to sign...(done)

I think I'll come up on Saturday morning, catch some breakfast at Hole in the Wall about 9 then roll on over to Stan's place. Anybody want to meet up in Gainesville.?Maybe we could rendezvous at the QuickTrip on 129@I-985 exit 20 if you are coming from the south or if you're coming from HotLanta up 400, maybe the Home Depot in Dahlonega. Post up and we'll work on a time/place.

I'm a horrible bowler, but I do like to watch good bowling (or in this case, "bowling.") :))

Sorry guys. I looks like I might have to miss this one as I have 7:30-3:30 House Build day with Habitat for Humanity. Seems like I will miss the fun and skip embarrasment from my awful bowling!

I feel your pain. Been having a time getting mine up to snuff for any riding. Been through a failed tire, battery, and now a fairing ... Good luck with your efforts.

So Tom, are we meeting @ 10, bowling @ 11? I saw it mentioned but not confirmed. Phil is coming up from Columbus, he says. Leaving @ 6:00.

Thanks!

:) :)  What a fun time!  Cindy and I had a terrific time!  Those of you who didn't come really missed some fun. Many, many thanks to Stan and Dee for hosting this event.    :great: We had a (relatively) small turn-out (6 plus Stan and Dee) but a really good time was had by all.  ;D

Stan and Dee opened their business early JUST FOR COG!   :PDT_Armataz_01_37:We had the whole place to ourselves so it wasn't too embarrassing for those of us whose bowling experience is (ahem) modest or, in my case, virtually non-existent. ;)

It was interesting that the one guy talking all the "smack" didn't show up. Yes, Kurt Brown. I'm talking about you. When it came right down to the real nitty-gritty, you bailed. ::)  :D   :104:  :hee20hee20hee:

Again, many thanks to Stan and Dee.  Let's do this again sometime!  :13: :08:

+1

Katie and I had LOTS of fun. We laughed more than we had since, well in a long time! The good news is my bowling is as good as it was when I was 20, bad news is that it's still bad!! But it was fun and low key and Stan and Dee were terrific hosts!!   (VERY nice place, btw.)
Totally great ride up and back, with just a touch of cooling rain. NICE!!!

Great idea Tom and Stan.

Thanks all.

Pictures (known as 'evidence') are on the way. Thankfully, there are none of the scoreboard. Let's just say that some of us are Holey Rollers when it comes to bowling - if there's a hole between the pins and the gutter then that's where she rolls. In attendance were Smokestack Stan and Dee Tyler, Ron and Katie Simmons, Jim and Cindy Culp, Phil Rockwell (all the way from Columbus!!), and yours truly.

Stan and Dee, you rock as hosts  :great:. Thank you for putting up with us at this function where for many of us form was, well, sorely lacking. Except for our fearless SE COG AD as seen in the example below  :))  We clearly had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the company as well as great food from the grill. I can see us doing this again down the road.
