« on: May 23, 2017, 10:35:19 pm »
CHANGE OF DATE!!!     MOVED TO JULY 15      CHANGE OF DATE!!!     MOVED TO JULY 15      CHANGE OF DATE!!!If you can Spare the time, come on out to Galaxy Bowling in Blairsville to Strike up a conversation with friends while splitting lanes without getting Framed by the authorities. (As if abusing these terms won't get one arrested!)

COG member Stan Tyler is graciously opening his establishment in Blairsville early on July 15th for this event. Come enjoy some great times with friends away from the summer heat. The event starts at 10 AM with reduced fees for bowling and no charge for shoes or other equipment. (It is a COG event, after all).  :))

Register here, please, so we can be prepared on the day of the event;
https://cog.memberize.net/clubportal/EventDisplayNew.cfm?clubID=1328&EventID=244085&mo=7&tDate=%7Bd%20%272017-07-23%27%7D

Who knows? Might even be an excuse to get to the mountains a day early... :motonoises:

Well looks like Tom took a different approach and threw a curve ball at us right into the pocket. He usually fouls while missing his mark and hitting on the Brooklyn side.

So, is anyone going to actually bowl or just hang out. Do I need to get my balls out and clean them?  :rotflmao:

All jokes aside I would love to see a good turnout.
Guys it will be warm er hot weather and so itll be a greta place to get out of the heat.
I found that the last RTE time got by way to fast . Its nice to hang out with fellow COGers and put some faces to the names.
If you have a family bring em we will all have a good time bowling, laughing, lying :great:
  We have hamburgers,hot dogs,quesadillas, pretzels, fries/onion rings , ect
Then if yall wish we can go for a ride. Any direction is good from here. :)

If you bring them then please clean em. Nothing worse than a guy with dirty balls :nananana:

You going to oil the lanes for us? League shot? PBA pattern?

Do we have any decent COG bowlers to provide some level of competition??

Striking out for an early morning ride in the N. Georgia mountains =  :great:
Hanging out and meeting new and old COGgers =  :great:
Yep, it's a bit different, but if you've got the balls, why not?  :)

Stan,

We appreciate the offer for the venue. I would actually like to bowl but would enjoy it more if I was able to bowl with my fellow COG members. So, how about if we meet at 10am and start bowling at 11am? Bowl a couple hours and have some lunch while bowling?

Kurt that sounds good to me. If there is  some competition then that makes it even better. I didnt know if there are any serious bowlers coming or not but I can sure run some lanes for us if so.  Probably be best to put out our league house shot.

From what I've heard there are at least three good bowlers thinking about it (I'm NOT one of them), so it might be interesting. I can be enthusiastic, but not good and can certainly be easily entertained by the attempts of others....
